With new ownership, a new brand, and clear ambitions for growth, Bower Offshore is ready to take its place in the offshore energy market.
Bower Offshore launches today, a company built on more than 125 years in the Norwegian maritime industry – from the founding of Remøy Shipping in 1899 to the present day. A new chapter begins with a clear promise: Operations you rely on.
Across four generations, the company has grown from traditional fisheries into an established operator of demanding offshore operations in the North Sea. It is this operational expertise, the crew, and the long-standing customer relationships that now form the foundation of Bower Offshore.
The offshore energy market sets non-negotiable requirements. Safety, precision, and continuity are not qualities you choose – they are the conditions for operating at all. Bower is built precisely for this: to make the most demanding operations possible, safely and efficiently, day after day, without surprises.
The company currently operates six vessels and holds significant ambitions for growth. The model is clear: we combine North Sea expertise with operational precision and quality on shore and at sea. This creates security and value for employees, customers, and partners.
Chairman, Babak Jabbari, states that is a milestone with the launch of Remøy Shipping’s new identity as Bower Offshore.
This marks more than a change of ownership and name—it represents the beginning of a new chapter built on a strong heritage, operational excellence, and ambitious growth. Remøy Shipping has earned an outstanding reputation over many years, and we are committed to preserving that legacy while investing in the company's future.
Bower Offshore will be well positioned to support the evolving needs of the offshore energy industry, drawing on the combined strengths of its experienced people, modern fleet, and the strategic backing of Zamil Offshore. We see significant opportunities to expand our capabilities, strengthen customer relationships, and deliver innovative, reliable, and sustainable offshore services.
I would like to thank the employees, customers, and partners whose dedication has built the strong foundation we inherit today. We look forward to working together as Bower Offshore, creating long-term value for our stakeholders and establishing the company as a leading partner in the global offshore market.
This is an exciting beginning, and I am confident that Bower Offshore has the people, expertise, and vision to achieve sustained success in the years ahead, says chairman Jabbari.
The name Bower comes from the English word for a vessel's main anchor – the very symbol of what holds when everything is storming, and what gives direction to what lies ahead.
Bower Offshore continues all existing contracts, operations, and employment relationships. The crew and the shore organisation are the core of the company – it is their experience and expertise that carry the brand promise into practice.
Vessels will be rebranded gradually following the launch. A new website, visual identity, and communications platform are available from today at bower.no.
